By 2019, these once-isolated communities had grown not only familiar with our presence but deeply aligned with our purpose. The walls of hesitation that once stood tall between tribal life and educational institutions had begun to crumble, replaced by mutual trust, hope, and a quiet determination to change.
Among all our initiatives, the National Day celebrations—our Independence Day and Republic Day gatherings—had become annual symbols of unity, pride, and renewal for these villages. They were no longer just events; they were affirmations of belonging—moments where the villagers and the Foundation met not as benefactor and beneficiary, but as one community, united by the shared dream of progress.
The Celebration at Dharol
For the Republic Day of 2019, Lakshya Foundation reached the tribal village of Dharol, nestled between Mandvyachi Vadi and Kuderan. The day began early as villagers, children, and teachers gathered in the Z.P. School ground, despite the winter chill. Nearly every household had someone present—the kind of collective participation that now defined our relationship with these communities.
As the Foundation team arrived, they were greeted not with grand decorations, but with something far more heartfelt—bouquets made of wildflowers and forest leaves, lovingly arranged by the children and their teachers.
