Z.P. School Shikhrepada
On 29 July 2023, the Foundation team visited* Z.P. School Shikhrepada** as part of its ongoing replication assessment.
Observations
- No boundary wall, allowing entry of snakes, animals, and reptiles from the surrounding forest—posing a serious safety risk
- The main school structure is largely stable, with only partial plaster damage
- Toilets are unusable, lacking:
- Proper water supply
- Septic tank
- Functional plumbing
- Broken flooring and tiles
- Roof and ceiling leakage during monsoons
This school represents a case where targeted intervention—rather than full reconstruction—could significantly improve safety, sanitation, and dignity.
