Witnessing Transformation

30th May 2015 – JCT Visits Nambarwadi with Lakshya Foundation

On 30th May 2015, the Janhvi Charitable Trust (JCT) team, accompanied by the Lakshya Foundation team, visited Nambarwadi village once again. This visit was special as more members from JCT had joined to witness the transformation of the Aanganwadi and experience the environment of the village first-hand.

Revisiting the Aanganwadi

The group first visited the Aanganwadi, which had undergone significant improvement in recent months. The freshly painted classrooms and newly constructed toilets reflected the care and commitment invested by Lakshya Foundation and its supporters.

  • JCT members walked through the Aanganwadi, observing the children’s activities.
  • They appreciated the impact of basic facilities such as toilets on the health, dignity, and daily routines of the children.
  • The visit allowed them to see how small interventions, when executed carefully, create long-term benefits for the community.

Engaging with the Children

To mark the occasion, snacks were distributed to the children of the Aanganwadi. The joy on the kids’ faces was a simple yet profound reminder of the power of care and attention in shaping childhood experiences.

A Walk Through Tribal Life

After the Aanganwadi visit, the Lakshya Foundation team guided the JCT members through the village, providing insight into the daily lives, routines, and resilience of the tribal community. They saw the Samajmandir, Z.P. School, and homes of the villagers, and engaged in candid conversations with both adults and children.

  • This walk offered the visiting team a holistic understanding of how interventions like painting, toilets, and educational support ripple through the village, impacting not just children but families and the larger community.

Reflections and Appreciation

The members of JCT expressed their appreciation for the thoughtful execution of projects by Lakshya Foundation. They acknowledged how seeing the improvements on the ground provided a clear picture of how committed efforts and community engagement translate into meaningful impact.

For Lakshya Foundation, this visit was a reaffirmation of its mission: to empower tribal children and communities through education and basic facilities, while ensuring that every effort is visible, sustainable, and delivered with transparency and care.
