On 26 January 2025, Lakshya Foundation once again celebrated Republic Day at Z.P. School Lavhali—but this year, the celebration carried a distinctly different emotion.

The parade, the flag hoisting, the speeches, the songs, and the dances were all there. But beneath these visible rituals lay something deeper and far more meaningful:

As the Lakshya Foundation team arrived in Lavhali that morning, it was immediately evident—this was no longer an “event” being hosted for the village.
It was a celebration being carried by the village.
Students were already assembled with confidence.
Teachers were coordinating effortlessly.
Villagers—young and old—had gathered early, not out of obligation, but anticipation.
The patriotic songs playing in the background felt less like preparation and more like a heartbeat.
This was Republic Day in a village that trusts itself again.
The Parade: A Symbol of What Has Changed
When the patriotic parade began, the symbolism was impossible to miss.
Children led the way, holding the tricolour high.
Behind them walked parents, elders, teachers, and the Lakshya Foundation team—together, shoulder to shoulder.

At the school ground, the Tiranga was honoured with pooja and hoisted in the presence of students, teachers, villagers, and the Lakshya Foundation team.
As the National Anthem was sung, voices blended seamlessly.

The students then took the stage—confident, expressive, and fearless.

For the past 18 months, our work naturally and intentionally began to converge at Lavhali.
Not because other villages mattered less.
But because we chose to prove what deep, sustained focus on one village can truly achieve.
The vision was clear:
- build strong infrastructure,
- nurture community responsibility,
- foster self-reliance,
- and restore dignity through education.
On Republic Day 2025, it felt undeniable—
Lavhali is close to becoming that ideal village.
What We Witnessed This Year
What stood out most this Republic Day was not the program—it was the ownership:
- Villagers voluntarily coordinating activities
- Parents ensuring children arrived on time
- Youth stepping forward to help manage arrangements
- Teachers functioning as confident anchors, not struggling caretakers
Lakshya Foundation did not feel like an external organization that day.
We felt like extended family.

As the celebration concluded, there was no sense of closure—only momentum.
Lavhali now stands as a living model of what is possible when:

What Lavhali has become, other tribal villages can become too.
